Leadership Values at DS International Inc.

The 5 Orientations and 15 Core Leadership Competencies are derived from the Vincentian Leadership Model, inspired by the work of Saint Vincent De Paul, CM, a 17th Century Catholic Priest from France who devoted his life to Servant Leadership and serving the poor. He is revered as the Patron Saint of the Poor.

1. Self - values, inclusivity, openness

2. Mission-vision - innovation, risk-taking

3. People - communication, empowerment, motivation

4. Service - social justice, transformation, systemic change

5. Task - commitment, collaboration, ethics

We are committed to cultivating these leadership competencies across all our initiatives.

St Vincent De Paul, Pray For Us, Amen!

Characteristics of a great leader who embodies Core Leadership Competencies include:

1. Someone who considers others first before themselves.

2. Someone who possesses a servant-like heart, a key aspect of Servant Leadership.

3. Someone who goes the extra mile for the benefit of others.

4. Someone who finds satisfaction in the success and well-being of those around them.

5. Someone who is willing to commit extra effort to please others, asking nothing in return from those they serve.

6. Someone who serves with love for others, regardless of the situation or circumstances.

7. One who demonstrates loyalty to their responsibilities, adhering to the Vincentian Leadership Model, without seeking recognition or reward.

8. Someone who leads by example to positively influence others.

And many more.

May God bless those who have exemplified these qualities within our community this year. God has strategically placed you in these positions to uplift many from homelessness, poverty, fear, and social disorder. All your initiatives to transform this block into a welcoming place are greatly appreciated. May God, our heavenly father, who sees all and rewards openly, do the same for you.

Wishing you all and your families a Very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, happy New Year 2025 ❤️🙏
