5 Orientations and 15 Competencies are adopted from Vincentian Leadership Model based on work of a 17th Century Catholic Priest in France, called Saint Vincent De Paul, CM who dedicated his life to the service of the poor. He is the Patron Saint of the Poor People.

Characters of a great leader

1. Someone who considers others first than himself

2. Someone who has a servant like heart

3. Someone who goes extra mile for others benefit

4. Someone who is satisfied when others benefits

5. Someone who is willing to commit extra to please others deserving nothing from them that he serves

6. Someone who always serves with love for others regardless of situations and circumstances 

7. One who serves with loyalty to what he is mandated to do regardless of recognition or reward.

8. Someone who leads with example to influence others 

And many more. 


May God bless those that have shown such characters in our block this year. God have placed you in these strategic positions to elevate many others amongst you from homelessness,  poverty, living in fear, social disorder and many others. All your initiatives to make this block a place to be is greatly commended and may God our heavenly father who watches in secret and rewards openly do the same for you all.

Good morning all and Happy Boxing Day. It's a  wonderful countenance and testimony to our underlying core values and principles. Developing these leadership values and applying them to help one and other and our collective purpose and good is pleasing and encouraging. And so please let's be encouraged to develop and bring out greatest potentials each one of us is endowed and blessed with. Let us be an example of good citizens as we work towards addressing the problem and burden of unplanned settlement. Peace
